Miley Ray Cyrus born Destiny Hope Cyrus on 23rd November 1992, is an American artist, singer, and actress. Noted for her distinctive vocals that are raspy, her music is a blend of elements of varied styles and genres, including pop, country pop, hip hop, experimental, and rock. Cyrus has attained the most US Billboard 200 top-five albums in the 21st century by a female artist, with 13 albums. The controversy surrounding her life, public appearances and performance has always generated media interest. Cyrus is the daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, emerged as a teen idol while acting as the title character of Hannah Montana, a Disney Channel television series Hannah Montana (2006-2011). Hannah Montana was a US Billboard 200 number one, three-times top five soundtrack artist, as well as the Billboard Hot 100's Top Ten track, "He Could Be The One". Cyrus's discography includes Meet Miley Cyrus (2007) and Breakout (2008); and Bangerz (2013). The singer has two albums that are top-five: Can't be Tamed (2010) and Younger Now (2017). Miley Cyrus & her Dead Petz (2015) is her first album to be released for free. Cyrus's EPs The Time of Our Lives (2009) and She Is Coming (2019) also debuted in the top-five. Plastic Hearts became Cyrus's most loved album and debut entry on the Billboard Rock Chart, debuting atop the chart. The album also included the first single "Midnight Sky". The singer also released singles such as "See You Again", 7 Things", "The Climb", Party in the U.S.A." and "Party in The U.S.A.". "Party in the U.S.A." was the first certified Diamond by Recording Industry Association of America. Cyrus's achievements include inclusions in the Time 100 in 2008 and 2014, the MTV Best Artist of 2013 Award and inclusion on Billboard's Greatest of All Time Artists list for 2019. She is often regarded as one of the few examples of successful child actors-turned-singers. Cyrus was an actress and was featured in Bolt (2008), Hannah Montana: The Movie (2010) and The Last Song (2010). On TV, Cyrus was an instructor on the singing competition series The Voice across two seasons, and also appeared in the episode "Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too" of the Netflix series Black Mirror (2019). Cyrus is a vocal supporter of animal rights. She also made the switch to a vegan diet in 2014; she founded the non-profit Happy Hippie Foundation in 2014, which focuses on youth homelessness and the LGBT community.
