Big Time Rush

Big Time Rush is an American pop boy band formed in 2009. The group is composed of Kendall Schmidt and James Maslow and also Logan Henderson and Carlos PenaVega. The group initially signed with Nick Records in 2009 before transferring to Columbia Records. The group appeared on the Nickelodeon television show of the same name, Big Time Rush. The series aired from November 28th, 2009 until July 25 2013. The pilot episode featured the group’s debut single as a promo, "Big Time Rush". The band has released three albums, including BTR in 2010, Elevate in 2011, and 24/Seven in 2013. The group in 2014 stopped performing for an indefinite period that lasted until 2021. The group then returned to live shows and then released "Call It Like I See It". Nickelodeon has signed Big Time Rush to a record deal in 2009 in conjunction with the television series, Big Time Rush. Then, Nickelodeon partnered with Columbia/Epic Label Group to create the show and include the original music that was used in the show. For the show, their first single, "Big Time Rush" was released on the 29th on the 29th of November. Officially announced by Nickelodeon, the series was first broadcast in the U.S. in November 2009 and then released globally. The show premiered during a one-hour special trailer for the series and it is currently the show's theme for opening. There were promotional singles released by the series, including "City is Ours" (with Big Time Rush) and "Any Kind of Guy". Big Time Rush recorded "Famous" by Play. The song was released on iTunes on June 29th, 2010. The second track, "Halfway There", was also released to iTunes after its debut on the series. The song quickly became the first single to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. Due to sales on digital platforms the song climbed to number 93. In order to promote their debut album, Big Time Rush released "Till I Forget About You" on the 21st of September 2010. On October 11, 2010 the album, which was titled BTR released to the public. The album debuted at the top of three on the Billboard 200. It sold 67,000 copies its first week.
