Beyonce Giselle Knowles was born on
September 4, 1981, in Houston, Texas. Her mom, Tina Knowles, is the one who
designs their glittering costumes. her dad Mathew Knowles, manages Destiny's
Child. Solange her sister (4 years apart) has released her first album. She
performs with her sister at DC-3 shows. Beyonce is from Louisiana Creole and
African descent. Her group was discovered by Whitney Houston. One of her
favorites is "Lovefool" by The Cardigans. The item she wears most
often is a pair work metallic boots. She is the creator and producer for many
of the group’s hits, including "Jumpin Jumpin", “Bootylicious"
Nasty Girls", "Independent Women", and "Happy Face".
She is the lead singer for Destiny's Child. Toured with Christina Aguilera as
her opening performance (2000). Toured together with TLC as the opening
performance (1999). Master P was a cat. He was a student at the High School for
the Performing and Visual Arts of Houston, Texas. Solange is Nixon &
Koi Knowles' older half sister. Star Search (1983) - The singer-songwriter once
was a part of the show. In 2001 she was the first woman from Africa to be
awarded the ASCAP Pop Songwriter of the Year Award. She is a great fan of
Middle Eastern music, dance and the Middle Eastern culture. Her biggest hit
song to date is "Crazy in Love" (2003). The Radio Music Awards, MTV
Europe Video Music Awards and Billboard Awards are among the awards shows she's
performed at in 2003. In November of 2003, Bono of U2 organized the South
African AIDS benefit concert. It was a way to fight the AIDS epidemic in sub
Saharan Africa. She won five Grammy Awards for her song "Dangerously in
Love" (February 8 in 2004). Mathew, her father, is African-American. Tina
her mother is Louisiana Creole. She has ancestors who are predominantly African
as well as French. Also, they have Canadian relatives. Beyonce is 1/32 Irish
and has distant Breton as well as Spanish, Indonesian and Chinese roots.
According to reports, she has said that in order to conquer her shyness she
developed an acting persona dubbed "Sasha".
