Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on November 18, 1985, located in Los Angeles. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as her mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix was a natural athlete and discovered her love to sprint at Los Angeles Baptist High School. In only 10 weeks following her first race, Felix finished second in the 200 meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed high school in 2003 and became a part of Adidas to become professional athlete. Following that, she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics that took place at Athens Greece. She set an Junior World Record taking 200m in 22.18 seconds. The year 2005 was the time she became the youngest 200-meter world champion at the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007 beating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently in the top three in all of her events in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
