Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18 the 18th of November, 1985, in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father, was an ordained pastor of Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix was an athlete of the highest level and found her passion of sprinting while in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships within just 10 weeks following her very first tryout. In 2003 Felix was a senior in high school and signed a professional deal with the athletics company Adidas before enrolling in the University of Southern California where she studied elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic gold at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. She was the youngest world winner in the 200m at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked among the top three athletes at her particular events.
